Taking the Hassle out of House Clearance

Think of all the space you could acquire in your home, your basement, your attic or your garage if you could only get rid of all those unwanted items. These days there are so many fabulous programmes on the telly and great sites on the internet that can really help you along with most anything. Even the most daunting task can be made simple.

Clearing your home of unwanted items need not cause you to have a panic attack.

Organising yourself is the first and most important place to start. It is probably wise to pick a day when time is not going to be an issue. A couple of days is even better, depending on how much needs to be cleared. Make a list of all the things you need to get rid of and divide these up into different categories. For example, things that are still in working order vs. things that are broken. Electrical things should go in one box, while clothing, books, cushions, blankets etc will go into another.

There are many different ways to recycle and you could donate your unused and unwanted things to a worthy cause. Once you have established where everything is going and have it all sorted you need to do an estimation of what kind of transport will be required to move your now sorted items. Pricing depends on volume.

  1. Obviously you will require different removals for the varying items you may have. The cheapest way to go about this is to do it yourself. You can hire a truck and get it all done in one go. However, this can be tricky, especially if you are not sure where you are going with your items. If you are thinking of using your local dump you may want to give them a ring to check out what the requirements are and if there is any fee involved. They may also have different days for different deliveries, so it is always best to check ahead of time.
  2. The internet is a great place to go for assistance. There are numerous sites that can show you how to go about obtaining the services of a removal company which is registered. This eliminates you ending up with a company that is not regulated in any way and will not do a proper job. There is a removal company that covers just about anything that requires moving.
  3. The other method is to go and hire a container which can be dropped off outside your house and once you have loaded all your items, it is taken away. These vary in pricing according to size. Should the container have to stand in the road outside your property, you will need to obtain the relevant permits and parking suspension from your local council. This may however be included in the price of hiring the container.
  4. Gumtree and Ebay are excellent ways to make some money whilst ridding yourself of unwanted items that are still in good working order, but no longer needed.

If, by now, you have broken out into a heavy sweat just reading all of this, the best advice for you would be JustClear.co.uk . They will remove any item, big or small, and will just load it all and take it away. They will charge you for the volume of items that they have to remove and are prepared to do anything from one load to several. Items are sorted by them and they will donate or recycle as required. This of course takes all that worry right off your shoulders.

Take note: If you are getting rid of documentation of any kind be sure to shred anything that has personal information on it.

A clear house means a clear mind. Now you can sit down, relax and have a lovely cup of tea!
