after
$ git checkout -b osx origin/osx

I needed to set
$ export CFLAGS="-m32"

this calls a 32bit build and without it I would get a 'make check' error

Booo... I get an error:

I’m a tcsh user, but I also like htop.
Tried to follow your directions here to install htop under tcsh and had some errors on the 2nd phase. switched to bash-3.2 from tcsh, start it all over, and works like a breeze not only under bash, but also in tcsh!

Do this before ./configure:
export CFLAGS=”-m32″

This will force building htop as x86 (32-bit, 64-bit by default) application – this way it works :)

Thanks for the info. Did you guys solved the Snow Leopard problem?

Here is what I get :

macbook:htop-osx xxx$ htop
htop(8907) malloc: *** error for object 0x100cf0: pointer being freed was not allocated

I get the same error as Felipe, also on Snow Leopard (10.6.1).

$ htop

Hopefully this can be addressed as I would love to have htop.
